Cabana Stage: SCOTT BROWN BAND

Scott Brown and the Diplomats is an offshoot of a band formed in New Zealand and recently headed by former US Senator and former US Ambassador Scott Brown. The last event by the band was in Wellington, New Zealand in front of 15,000 fans at Beervanna at Sky Stadium. Playing together for almost 4 years, the band compiled an impressive list of venues and paid appearances. Upon returning from duty in New Zealand, Brown sought out some of the most talented area musicians to reform the band into Scott Brown and the Diplomats.

Visitors enjoyed Mica’s Grovetrain and the Tim Parent Band on the Cabana Stage, JC & The Elvis Experience at the Seashell, and the debut of Pearls & Pours in the Culinary Tent. The evening brought Being Petty and the Scott Brown Band to the stage, along with the announcement of our annual Food Vendor Award winners. Saturday at the Seafood Festival was bursting with energy from start to finish. Chef demonstrations featured The Old Salt, Boston Salads, The Peddler’s Daughter, The Tack Room, and the Airfield Café, while Rico Barr, the Compaq Big Band, and the 39th U.S. Army Band filled the air with music. The boardwalk was alive with shopping, cornhole competitions, and food of every kind. The night ended in spectacular fashion with fireworks over Hampton Beach at 8:30 PM, lighting the sky for thousands of festivalgoers. The day began with Yoga on the Beach, the Lil’ Lobster Fun Run, and the Harvard Pilgrim 5K Road Race, then moved into a full schedule of chef demos from The Colosseum, Rig A Tony’s, and Master McGrath’s. Families packed the stages for the Rockin Daddios, Freight Train, Redemption, and the always-popular Lobster Roll Eating Contest.
